Finding Tranquility Amidst Life’s Twists and Turns 🍂

Hey there Reader,

I hope this message finds you wrapped up in the cozy embrace of fall. 🍁🍂

As we embrace the full swing of fall, I wanted to share a little story with you. Picture this: nature walks, cups of warm goodness infused with that delightful hint of cinnamon spice, and a charming countryside Airbnb. It was an idyllic escape, filled with all the right ingredients… until, out of the blue, I fell ill on our very last day.

Heading back home with a few more days of relaxation on the horizon, our grand plans for tackling household chores and business tasks suddenly unraveled. The to-do list was a mile long: my newsletter, website updates, finalizing that landing page, and a slew of other tasks that were meant to be handled with ease and grace. But my unexpected illness had other plans.

Fast forward to today, on the cusp of returning to the daily hustle, and I found myself at a crossroads. I had a choice to make – either fret over the tasks left undone or acknowledge the wisdom in putting my well-being first. I chose the latter, allowing my body the time it needed to heal completely.

As I sit here, writing this newsletter, it’s with a heart that’s found calm and acceptance. True, I had envisioned having it all wrapped up sooner, but I’ve chosen to let go of that initial plan and adapt to the rhythm of reality. This approach minimizes the anguish and torment that often accompany resistance to the unchangeable. Instead, I’ve channeled my focus and energy into the tasks that I can tackle now.

Yes, some items on my to-do list will have to wait a bit longer than I initially hoped. But, in the grand scheme of life, does it truly matter?

I’d love to hear your thoughts, Reader. When faced with a similar situation, what’s your go-to response? Do you dive headfirst into anxiety and distress? There’s absolutely no judgment here. That used to be my default reaction, too, and occasionally, it still is. But I’m learning to let go of the need for control, understanding that life often unfolds in beautifully unpredictable ways.

In the grand scheme of things, your business journey plays out by your rules. For me, it’s about honoring my well-being and sanity over the relentless pursuit of perfection and strict deadlines. That’s the essence of how I want my business to support me – my health, my life – the very essence of why I embarked on this entrepreneurial adventure.

So, when life serves up its unexpected twists and turns, how do you respond? Do you embrace the chaos or allow it to swallow you whole? I’ve found that choosing tranquility, adaptability, and self-care leads to a richer, more serene journey.

Now, it's your turn to turn insight into action: reply to this email with your own story, insight or tip and go to the blog to read how you can calm your mind (to be more productive and happy).

Hi Reader, I hope this email finds you well. It’s been a few months since my last newsletter, and I’ve got to be honest with you—it wasn’t because I didn’t have things to share. The longer I waited, the more I felt a growing sense of shame and embarrassment for not reaching out sooner. And as that feeling grew, so did the hesitancy to send this very email. But then, I had a moment of clarity. I recognized this as a pattern—one I’d immediately address if it were happening to one of my clients....

A few weeks ago, I found myself at an audition for a yoga teaching position in a studio. Despite having taught thousands of hours of yoga and knowing my capabilities as a teacher, the jitters were still present: my heart was beating faster, butterflies danced in my tummy, and my palms turned clammy. Sound familiar? But instead of letting them overwhelm me, I leaned into them. Why? Because I’ve learned that stress in these situations can actually be helpful. It’s a boost, sharpening focus and...
